Who we are: We are a group of students with an interest in improving the quality of life for people in developing countries by working with communities on sustainable engineering projects.

It is made up mostly of national groups of engineers and engineering students. These groups work on engineering projects throughout the world to assist disadvantaged communities. Founded in 2000 by George Roter and Parker Mitchell , engineering graduates from the University of Waterloo , it is a registered Canadian charity focused on finding solutions to extreme poverty, specifically in rural Africa.
